About...

August: Osage County, by Tracy Letts

The Westons of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, are a dysfunctional family in the midst of a major meltdown. The father has vanished, the foul-mouthed mother is popping pills, and the three sisters are harboring shady little secrets. When the clan unexpectedly reunites after Dad disappears, the family homestead explodes in a maelstrom of repressed truths and unsettling secrets. August: Osage County is The Great New American Play, a tragicomedy that unflinchingly - and uproariously - exposes the dark side of the Midwestern American family.

2nd Story's production will be directed by Ed Shea who says, "We feel truly privileged to have the opportunity to introduce Rhode Island audiences to this modern American masterpiece."
